How we pick a casino for The Dog House
Casino websites and affiliate tables were not used as sources. In September and October 2026 we ran the series through fifteen casinos: nine games, 132 individual checks.
Five checks per casino, in order. One — the lobby: whether each Dog House game is present and actually opens; a Pragmatic Play logo on the front page proves neither. Two — the RTP build, read from the rules page of every game in the series, not just the flagship. Three — the maximum bet per spin, from the same page, with one trap avoided: the "MAXIMUM BET" line in Megaways 1000 and The Big Dog House is the bonus-buy price, not the stake per spin. Four — the account currency: MateSlots runs in Australian dollars and Mr Punter in Swiss francs, and ceilings in different currencies do not compare directly. Five — licence and payment terms, recorded only where we have read them in writing.
Where a check is unfinished, the field says so — it is labelled "not checked", never filled in with a plausible guess. A gap is honest; a borrowed number is not.
Four RTP builds, not two
This page used to say the choice was between two builds, 96.51% or 95.51%. That was written before the data existed. After reading the rules page of nine games at fifteen casinos, the real picture has four levels.
WinSpirit, IRIS and RX run the series on the published maths: 96.51% on The Dog House, up to 96.55% on Megaways. Drakaris runs the entire series one point lower, in the 95.5% band. The remaining eleven casinos split the series: the flagship stays at 95.51%, while every other Dog House game drops to the 94.5% band — Multihold as far as 94.10%.
Two details are worth holding on to. First, none of the fifteen runs the flagship on its lowest certified build: on The Dog House itself you will meet either 96.51% or 95.51%, nothing lower. Second, the build is a property of the casino, not of your session — the figure printed on the rules page inside your account is the one that applies to your money.
| Build | Who runs it | What it means |
|---|
| 96.5% band, whole series | WinSpirit, IRIS, RX | Published maths on every game: flagship 96.51%, Megaways 96.55%, Royal Hunt 96.53%, Multihold 96.06%. |
| 95.5% band, whole series | Drakaris | The full series roughly one point down, applied uniformly: flagship 95.51%, Big Dog House 95.45%, Multihold 95.14%. |
| 95.51% on the flagship only | Ritzo, RocketPlay, SpinSamurai, WildFortune, 21bit24, CasinoRocket, LuckyGem, SpinPanda, MateSlots, Mr Punter, Spininio | The original The Dog House keeps the mid build while the rest of the series is set lower. |
| 94.5% band on the rest of the series | The same eleven casinos | Every sequel between 94.10% and 94.55%: Megaways 94.55%, Big Dog House 94.48%, Muttley Crew 94.47%, Multihold 94.10%. |
The bet ceiling is set by the casino, not the game
The rules page that prints the RTP also prints the maximum bet per spin, and the two turn out to be unrelated. Nine euro casinos run the identical RTP set — 95.51% on the flagship, 94.5% band on the rest — yet their flagship ceilings are €14, €36 and €240. The three casinos on the best build sit far apart too: IRIS allows €500 a spin on The Dog House, WinSpirit €100, RX €36.
Across the whole series the spread is wider still. The lowest ceiling we recorded is €2 — The Dog House Megaways at SpinPanda. The highest is €1,000 — Multihold at IRIS. Identical certified reels, a five-hundredfold difference in what you may stake per spin, decided entirely by which coin values the operator exposes.
The floor, by contrast, does not move: €0.20 a spin at all fifteen casinos (CHF 0.20 at Mr Punter), without exception. One caveat on the table below: MateSlots runs accounts in Australian dollars and Mr Punter in Swiss francs, so their AU$72 and CHF 36 ceilings cannot be compared line for line with the euro figures.
| Casino | RTP on flagship | Max bet on flagship | Notes |
|---|
| IRIS | 96.51% | €500 | Highest flagship ceiling of the fifteen; whole series on the 96.5% band |
| WinSpirit | 96.51% | €100 | Whole series on the 96.5% band; Dice Show opens here on the full 96.51% build |
| RX | 96.51% | €36 | Every game we opened on the 96.5% band; The Big Dog House and Dice Show not checked yet |
| LuckyGem | 95.51% | €240 | Flat €240 ceiling on every game in the series; rest of series at 94.5% band |
| Spininio | 95.51% | €240 | Flat €240 ceiling on every game we opened; rest of series at 94.5% band; Dice Show opens, on a reduced 95.51% build |
| MateSlots | 95.51% | AU$72 | Account in AUD — not directly comparable with euro ceilings; rest of series at 94.5% band |
| Mr Punter | 95.51% | CHF 36 | Account in CHF — not directly comparable with euro ceilings; rest of series at 94.5% band; Dice Show opens, on a reduced 95.51% build |
| Drakaris | 95.51% | €36 | The only casino running the whole series in the 95.5% band |
| Ritzo | 95.51% | €36 | Rest of the series at 94.5% band |
| RocketPlay | 95.51% | €36 | Rest at 94.5% band; licence OGL/2024/1307/0748 (Curaçao GCB) verified |
| SpinSamurai | 95.51% | €36 | Rest of the series at 94.5% band |
| WildFortune | 95.51% | €36 | Rest of the series at 94.5% band |
| 21bit24 | 95.51% | €36 | Rest of the series at 94.5% band |
| CasinoRocket | 95.51% | €36 | Rest of the series at 94.5% band |
| SpinPanda | 95.51% | €14 | Lowest euro ceiling; Megaways capped at €2 a spin |
The flagship gets better maths than the rest of the series
Eleven of the fifteen casinos — Ritzo, RocketPlay, SpinSamurai, WildFortune, 21bit24, CasinoRocket, LuckyGem, SpinPanda, MateSlots, Mr Punter and Spininio — run a split configuration: the original The Dog House keeps 95.51% while every sequel runs about a point lower. The numbers are consistent across all eleven: Megaways 94.55%, Dog or Alive 94.54%, Royal Hunt 94.52%, Megaways 1000 94.50%, The Big Dog House 94.48%, Muttley Crew 94.47%, Multihold 94.10%.
The practical reading is blunt: at these eleven casinos, moving from the flagship to any newer Dog House game costs about one percentage point of RTP before the mechanics even enter into it. Only four casinos keep the series level with its flagship — WinSpirit, IRIS and RX on the full 96.5% band, Drakaris on the 95.5% band.
We do not know why operators configure it this way, and we will not guess. We only note that the pattern held in eleven of fifteen lobbies, on every game we opened, in September and October 2026.
Multihold is the weakest game everywhere
Whatever build a casino runs, The Dog House Multihold sits below the rest of the series. On the 96.5% band it returns 96.06% against 96.50–96.55% for its siblings. At Drakaris it returns 95.14% against 95.45–95.54%. At the eleven split-build casinos it returns 94.10% against 94.47–94.55%. Roughly four tenths of a point behind, in every configuration, at all fifteen casinos — no operator compensates for it.
The sharpest contrast in our whole data set involves this game: at IRIS, Multihold carries the single highest bet ceiling we recorded anywhere in the series — €1,000 a spin — attached to the weakest maths in the family. The ceiling and the return are set independently; nowhere is that clearer.
The Dog House Dice Show: listed everywhere, playable almost nowhere
On paper, The Dog House Dice Show is part of the series at most of these casinos. In practice, of the fourteen casinos where we looked for it, it actually loads at three: WinSpirit, where it runs the full 96.51% build with a €100 ceiling, Mr Punter, on a reduced 95.51% build capped at CHF 36, and Spininio, on the same reduced 95.51% with a €240 ceiling. At RX we have not checked it yet.
At six casinos — SpinSamurai, WildFortune, 21bit24, CasinoRocket, SpinPanda and MateSlots — the tile sits in the lobby but the game does not open. At the other five — IRIS, Drakaris, Ritzo, RocketPlay and LuckyGem — it is not in the lobby at all.
We recorded this as observed on 12–13 September 2026 (Mr Punter and Spininio on 12 October) and make no claim about why the dead tiles are dead. But the count stands: if Dice Show is the game you are after, only three of the fourteen lobbies we checked can currently spin it — and only one of them on the full build.
What the 132 checks showed
WinSpirit is the only casino carrying all nine games with every one on the top build, and the only place where Dice Show opens on the full build; its ceiling is a flat €100. IRIS matches that maths on the eight games it stocks and goes far higher on stake — €500 on the flagship, €1,000 on Multihold — but has no Dice Show. RX runs the same top build on all seven games we opened there, with ordinary ceilings: €36 on the flagship, €8 on Megaways. LuckyGem and Spininio run a €240 flat ceiling with the flagship on 95.51% and the rest of the series on 94.5%.
The remaining ten casinos cluster tightly. Drakaris runs the whole series about one point below the published maths. Ritzo, RocketPlay, SpinSamurai, WildFortune, 21bit24 and CasinoRocket share settings that are identical to the cent — 95.51% on the flagship, 94.5% on the sequels, €36 a spin. SpinPanda uses the same maths with the lowest ceilings we measured, down to €2 on Megaways. MateSlots and Mr Punter use the same maths again, priced in Australian dollars and Swiss francs.
Two patterns hold across the whole set. The flagship almost always gets a better build than the rest of the series, so checking one game tells you little about the others. And the stake ceiling has no relationship to the RTP build: the same maths appears with €14, €36 and €240 limits. Both are decisions the operator makes, and neither is stated anywhere in a lobby.
What we don't do
No star ratings, no "best casino" badge, no advice about who should play where. The tables state what each operator runs; the decision is the reader's.
No figures we have not read ourselves. Of the fifteen casinos, only RocketPlay's licence is verified: OGL/2024/1307/0748, Curaçao Gaming Control Board, operated by Scores55 Tech B.V., withdrawal limits of €5,000 a week and €20,000 a month, mandatory KYC. WinSpirit names its regulator but publishes no licence number. SpinPanda publishes nothing. Every other licence, payout term and bonus condition stays marked "not checked" until we have read it in writing.
